Who are ACEVic?

ACEVic is Victoria’s peak policy, industrial and development body for the Adult Community Education sector. We represent over 200 of Victoria’s Adult Community Education centres.

wayne ACEVic was formed to provide support to ACE Boards and Committees of Management and their management staff. We recognise that committees are made up of busy people with lives outside ACE. Our industrial relations advice line is designed to support committees and their delegates with their obligations as employers. In addition we provide advice and support about all aspects of committee governance.

ACEVic’s Key Policy Position on Victorian Adult Community Education needs

In the lead-up to the 2010 Victorian Election, ACEVic is developing a series of papers highlighting what ACEVic’s members want to guide reform on the key issues facing Victorian Adult Community Education. The key policy is One Vision, One Voice was launched on 21 October 2010.  We ask that you distribute One Vision, One Voice widely. If we do not take the opportunity to have our message heard then we may miss the opportunity to remain competitive.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  ACEVic 36th Annual Conference – Friday 6th May 2011

Due to unforeseen circumstances we have changed our Conference date to FRIDAY 6TH MAY, 2011.  We are also pleased to announce that our first Keynote Speaker for the ACEVic 36th Annual Conference will be the Hon. Peter Hall MP Minister for Higher Education and Skills.  At this stage we have also approached the Premier of Victoria Ted Baillieu to open our Annual Conference with the Welcome address.  This has not yet been confirmed but we are working on it.
