  • ACEVic is busy working on a new Strategic Plan to drive our work for the next 3 years and ensure we continue to lead, support, connect and advocate for our members. Our strategic planning is being guided by the skilled and inspiring Julia May from Visibility Co: Leadership and Communications Consultancy https://www.visibilityco.com/ ACEVic members will be invited to complete a brief survey asking for feedback and suggestions on ACEVic’s strategic directions

  • Tamsin has commenced her position as a steering committee member for EAL Framework re-accreditation

  • Tamsin participated in the interviews for candidates for MEGTs Foundation Scholarship Program

  • In partnership with ALA and DET, facilitated the induction session for the new Pre-accredited Teacher Induction Module

  • Attended the Victorian Skills Authority (VSA) office launch, addresses by The Hon. Gayle Tierney MP, The Hon. Jenny Macklin MP, Lisa Line Chair of the VSA Advisory Board and Craig Robertson CEO VSA

  • In partnership with Adult Learning Australia, we continue to deliver a range of literacy and numeracy professional development events for ACFE practitioners who have completed the ALNPP and are part of the ALNPP Professional learning Network. The session on Phonics: Not a panacea but a tool by Meg Cotter from Wyndham Community Education Centre was a practical and engaging event that was greatly appreciated by participants.

  • In partnership with Neighbourhood Houses Victoria, we met with Learn Local providers to offer support and advice on how to campaign MPs for a new ACFE funding model campaign group and NHVic we have been busy supporting providers to campaign their local politicians in preparation for the State election.

  • ACEVic has been meeting with members 1:1 to hear opportunities, challenges and provide support, in particular in relation to the advocacy of the sector in preparation of the upcoming State election.
