May & June Snapshot

  • ACEVic held their AGM in early May, with the board being re-elected including all Executive board positions remaining, offering a level of consistency moving into our first year of our new three strategic plan.

  • Nina has been busy over the past few months getting to know her new role and getting out to meet with members to hear first hand of the challenges and successes on the ground.

  • Nina participated in the interview with a researcher investigating branding and further ACE sector opportunities.

  • ACEVic has grown its membership base in the past quarter including a number of new ACFE providers.

  • Attended the Neighbourhood Houses Victoria Annual Conference in May, where it was a fabulous opportunity to network with providers of all sizes and from across the state.

  • Visiting the South Western Regional office of Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) for conversations related to the unique aspects of the South Western region.

  • Nina has been able to visit Pines Learning, Mountain District Learning Centre, Coonara Community House, Duke Street, Springvale NH, Carlton NLC, North Melbourne LLC, Cire Training, Cultura, Cloverdale CC, Warrandyte NH, and Wonga Park NH.

  • ACEVic has been meeting with members 1:1 to hear opportunities, challenges and provide support, in particular in relation to the advocacy of the sector.
