Bushfire Recovery

ACEVic is involved in numerous projects across the State to build the capability of community education practitioners and providers. All projects contribute to the growth and sustainability of the sector.

Bushfire Recovery

Learn Local Organisations impacted by the 2020 bushfires are recipients of a $200,000 grant package to develop, and resource educational programs and services to meet the emerging needs of bushfire affected learners and communities.  ACEVic will be working alongside the LLOs, providing additional support on resource and program development.

Learn Local providers make a huge difference in their communities, helping people who need extra support turn their lives around with programs for people of all ages and from all walks of life.  These funds will be a part of their bushfire recovery process.

Along with DET Regional Branch Managers, Julie Hebert and Robyn Downey, ACEVic’s EO, Tamsin Rossiter is working collaboratively with the LLOs to achieve their educational delivery goals. Congratulations: Mount Beauty Neighbourhood Centre, Mallacoota District Health and Support Service, Corryong Neighbourhood House, Buchan District Outreach, Orbost Education Centre, King Valley Learning Exchange and Myrtleford Neighbourhood Centre, there is no doubt these additional funds will be well utilised.
